Follow the money

Follow the money is a fairly good first step to finding out what’s really going going on, what Italian anti-mafia experts charmingly call “behindology”, but it has its limitations. Fro example, it’s less interesting to me whether the Leave campaign received millions in support from Russia (which would confirm what we already know, that Putin wants to break up the EU and will use traditional dirty tricks to get his way), and more intersting in whether Leave knew it was Russian money (which would prove a form of collusion).

Still, these interlocking pieces on the financial links between Boris Johnson, Sir Lynton Crosby (how did that happen? Next you’ll tell me Nick Clegg has knighhood), number 10, and May’s deal are suggestive.
